The Pune Unit of GIPA WZ successfully conducted its Cultural Program and Annual General Meeting (AGM) on May 13, 2026, at the Balshikshan Sabhagruha (Auditorium), Mayur Colony, Kothrud, Pune.
The event saw an enthusiastic turnout of over 150 members, who attended alongside their families totaling 280. The highlight of the day was a unique and memorable two-hour cultural program entirely organized by our talented in-house members, with performing singers ranging from 60 to 80 years of age. The spellbinding performances, complemented by engaging commentary from the anchors, kept the audience thoroughly entertained throughout.
Following the cultural segment and a sumptuous lunch, the afternoon session was compered by Shri V.G. Gaikwad (Vice President, Pune Unit). Under his coordination, prizes were distributed to the winners of various sports tournaments—including Table Tennis, Carrom, and Chess—across both men’s and women’s categories.
The event then transitioned into the formal AGM, where key leadership figures addressed the gathering. Shri U. Banerjee (General Secretary, GIPAIF), Shri Mohan Paranjape (President, GIPA WZ), and Shri Satish Shende (General Secretary, GIPA WZ) briefed the members on the organization's recent achievements. They also highlighted the ongoing charter of demands and shared updates on recent meetings with GIPSA and DFS officials.
Shri Satish Malphatak, General Secretary of the Pune Unit, concluded the meeting by expressing heartfelt gratitude to the organizing team, the participants, and the entire Pune Unit for their unwavering support in making the event a grand success.
