Around 500 employees, officers and pensioners participated in Human Chain to protest

As per the directions of JFTU to observe the program of Human Chain, all the constituents participated in the program which was observed successfully in Delhi at Barakhamba Road in large numbers with Playcard in their hands displaying our demands.  Around 500 employees, officers, and pensioners participated in Human Chain to protest the undue delay in settlement of long pending wage revision and in support of Pension for all, Improvement in Family Pension, Updation in Pension and to repeal GIBNA Amendment Act.  There was a huge police arrangement at the location and they imposed Sec. 144 all of a sudden and detained the Convenor (NZ), Central Leaders including the Lady officers leading the program but they had to release them after vigorous protest from all the members present despite the repeated threat from the Police parties.

We condemn the attitude of the police authorities and also the PSU_GIC Management for trying to curb the IR action of JFTU for the legitimate demands of the employees.  We have received similar information about holding the program successfully in NCR as well.
