Regarding paying the premium in instalments he informed that GIPSA is considering to give option to retirees to pay the premium on quarterly basis.
It was also gathered.from him GIPSA has considered our suggestion of extending the Mediclaim Policy benifits to unmarried daughter, widow daughter even after the death of her parents.
Our demand of refunding proportionate amount to insured in case of death of any group member in the policy in existence. This suggestion of ours is being considered by GIPSA.
It was also informed that our writing of continues letters on the issue of raising the present cap on certain treatment cost on major diseases yielding some favorable response from GIPSA. Only we have to be watchful whether additional loading will be added on premium during the time of renewal.
After long persuasion and follow atleast some good news is offing for pensioners as far as our GMP is concerned. We shall continue our struggle and follow up in all levels to achieve our main demands like hike in Family Pension from 15% to 30% and updation of pension etc.
In the meantime we have requested Jt Forum Convenor, to wear black badge on 6 th January, '23 along with all pensioners for settling our immediate issues. All zonal secretaries and unit secretaries are requested to make the 6 th January program a grand success. New Year greetings to all.
