The 41st AGM of United India Insurance Employees' Welfare Society (UIIEWS) held today (30.8.19) at Pondicherry.

Four of GIEAIA's following nominees who were fielded in the election for Managing Committee Membership of the Society were declared on 21.6.19 as UNANIMOUSLY ELECTED have taken charge:

1. Com.S.Karunanidhi, CNRO
2. Com.R.K.Ragavan, BO, T. Nagar   
3. Com.S Ramesh, BO, Gee Gee Complex   
4. Com.J.Sangeetha, DO4.   

AGM has approved the following recommendations of MC Members: To increase

1. LTS loan to Rs.20000/- from Rs.12000/-   
2. Higher Education Loan to Rs.30000/- from Rs.24000/-   
3. Lower Education Grant to Rs.1000/- from Rs.500/- 

These increases will be effective from 1st January, 2020.

The representation received from General Insurance Pensioners All India Federation (GIPAIF) for withdrawing the Deposits received from Retirees for availing Holiday Home facilities placed before AGM. It has been unanimously approved to collect Rs.500/- as one time non-refundable payment instead of Rs.3000/-.
