1) On the issue of raising the rate of Family Pension 15% to 30% unilaterally, he listened very patiently why it was needed urgently for Family Pensioners particularly those who has become very old and struggling for survival with meagre pension of Rs 5000/ Rs 6000/.We made it clear that this was our most urgent priority.
2) Regarding disparity in Dearness Relief (for the retirees upto 31 st July, 1997), we explained to Secretary, DFS there should be uniform Dearness Relief pattern to all pensioners.
3) Regarding revision of pension we explained immediately you consider to increase at least 20%
increase in pensioners basic once they attain the age of 80 and continue to increase @ 20% every five years thereafter.
He assured and advised Joint Secretary, Mr Prashant Goel who was also present in this meeting to
take a note of this proposal.
4) We also insisted on follow the rules of calculation of basic pension on the basis of 50% of the average emoluments or at last drawn pay whichever is beneficial to the employees.
He assured to check up our existing pension rules.
5) On enhancement of notional age (of deceased retired employees) from age 65 yrs to 67 yrs for paying full pension he conveyed us that this point is also not implemented in LIC.and Banks.
We will have to wait for some more time.
6) On TAC left out retirees not given pension form when the 3rd option came in April 2019 , he asked the Jt Secretary to get the details.
Similarly, we insisted LPA retirees also should be Considered to join in 1995 Pension Scheme.
He replied that details had to be found out why they were denied.
7) On the issue of SVRS retirees pension basic pay should have been fixed on the basis of latest wage revision that took place in 2002,when SVRS option came in 2004, they were denied fixation on new basic and as a result those pensioners get much less pension.
We made a request to review their cases sympathetically.
We also raised other issues like better medical facilities and pension option to PF optees took VRS before 20 years completion of service and resigned employees but the reply was not very positive.
However denying of pension to some PTS to FTS staff by Oriental, we harped on this issue very seriously and once again Secretary advised Jt. Secretary to get the details of those cases.
Dear Pensioners, it was a very fruitful meeting and Secretary, DFS was very positive and came well prepared to answer against all the points mentioned in the agenda.
At the end of the discussion he conveyed us to substantiate against all our points in the agenda and told us to submit at the earliest to DFS.
We are hopeful of getting some of our important issues solved shortly.
Let us be United and fight our issues along with Jt Forum.

Regret not mentioning about point 6 of our agenda with DFS.
We have detailed discussion on this point. Put before Secretary, DFS all the details how excess recovery is making by the PSGI Companies in 15 years. Which should have been in 128 instalments ( 10 years & 8 months).
He has taken note of this point and asked Jt Secretary to get the details calculation of recovery and also asked us to give further any supporting documents to strengthen the point raised by us.
Thanks to those who pointed out this omission.
