The above delegates met Chairperson GIPSA on 26th August and had discussion for about 40 minutes. On the issue of increasing the rate of Family Pension from 15% to30% Chairperson assured that she would follow up the same with DFS. Similar reply received on the issue of giving one more option to left out retirees of L PA. Regarding paying premium of group medical insurance on instalment she agreed on principle to consider with a rider that pensioners retired  upto 31.07 12.might be taken in to account. on updation she explained it was not appropriate time to discuss. We also requested her to consider sympathetically giving notional increments to SVRS optees of 2004 as done in the case of  2003 SVRS optees. She replied that matter has to be studied properly. About more number of cashless hospitals she assured to take up the issue with HITPA. 

We pointed out that number of compassionate cases are pending in National. Her reply was positive and said instructions are given to Department to put note before the company board. We also stressed that GIPSA should recognise us and give reply to our letters. Which she agreed and conveyed us that GIPSA office would be informed accordingly. U. Banerjee. General Secretary, GIPAIF.
